Emerging Technologies in Technical Training

Seeing as we live in a three dimensional world it only makes sense that the way we navigate and interact with our world is also three dimensional. The Microsoft Hololens, Vuzix M300, and Bluetooth Beacons are great examples of how technology is headed in this direction. These devices help us access and guide us through seas of information quicker and easier by achieving just that. Basic tasks can be performed more efficiently, therefore reducing training time and increasing efficiency on the job. Technical tasks can be easily taught and performed with less upfront knowledge required out of the gate. These types of technologies are sure to become the new standard in the training and education fields in the near future.

During this session, Bill will be showcasing a variety of new and emerging technologies as well as show how they are being used in the workplace. In addition to learning about the Microsoft HoloLens, Vuzix M300, and Bluetooth Beacons, there will be opportunities for attendees to get hands on and try out some of the equipment themselves.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn about what emerging technologies exist and are up and coming in education and training.
  2. Learn how these technologies are being used in the workforce.
