On May 14, join us for the inaugural Lexington GIG meeting at Big Ass Solutions for a panel on “How to Select a Learning Management System.”  

Panel will include: 

Jamie Hinely, Head of Talent Development, Valvoline Instant Oil ChangeJamie Hinely is head of Talent Development for Valvoline Instant Oil Change, the nation's second largest quick-lube franchise. Prior to Valvoline, he was Director of Training and Technical Communication at Neilsen Claritas, and a lecturer at American University. Valvoline Instant Oil Change has been recognized as an outstanding training provider with awards from the ATD BEST program, Training Top 125, and Brandon Hall.  In 2014 the company selected a new LMS for its 7500 store level employees.  The fully customized system is currently being launched in 920 service centers across the nation. 

Al Cornish, Chief Learning Officer, Norton Healthcare - Alfonso N. Cornish, system vice president learning and organizational development/chief learning officer, has been with Norton Healthcare since March 2006. He is responsible for the leadership of Norton University. Norton University is responsible for the staff, physician, leadership and executive development programs as well as e-learning offerings. In addition, he is responsible for media services, career and succession planning as well as the diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Cornish has more than thirty years experience in administrative, training, human resource and operations management. He has been in senior leadership roles in some of the most well known companies in America including AMF Bowling Worldwide, Inc., Central Parking Systems Inc., 7-Eleven Food Stores, Inc., Automatic Data Processing and Hardee’s Food Systems.  

Jimmy Nelson, Chief Learning Officer, Nelson Training and Development - Dr. Jimmy A. Nelson is the Founder and Chief Learning Officer of Nelson Training & Development, a Leadership Development, Coaching & Teamwork, and Organizational Culture Consultancy. He holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Development & Training, a Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology, has taught and spoken internationally, was an adjunct instructor for Belmont & Davenport universities, is a certified Franklin Covey instructor, is a "retired" Dale Carnegie® instructor, achieve his CPLP Certification in 2010, and published his first book: "Eat Your Green Peppers - the law of being successful by doing what you hate", in February 2005.  Dr. Jimmy has implemented his unique style of organizational learning & development processes in a wide variety of organizations, as both a consultant and organizational leader, and now lives near Louisville, Kentucky.  He is the past president of the ATD Kentuckiana Chapter and was elected in 2014 to the NAC (National Advisory Council) and serves the South region. Dr. Jimmy is an expert in Organizational Culture, Learning & Development, Talent Management Systems, Corporate University Processes, Coaching & Leadership, Conflict Resolution, and Advanced Teambuilding Skills.

Krista Mainous,Training and Organizational Development Consultant, Lexmark International - Krista Mainous is a Training and Organizational Development Consultant with Lexmark International.  Krista manages on-line learning for over 13,000 world-wide users.  In addition to managing Lexmark’s learning management system she is responsible for coordinating Lexmark’s diversity training efforts, is the HR advisor for the committee that oversees the company’s employee recognition program and is the program manager for Lexmark’s Technical Rotation Program by which newly graduated engineers rotate through various divisions of Lexmark. Prior to joining Lexmark in January of 2012, she ran a management and leadership development team for a media company.
