Biography
Dr. Dana E. Sims is an Acting Chief Learning Officer within the federal government, bringing over 13 years of experience across six different federal agencies. With a robust background in workforce development, Dr. Sims specializes in leadership training, evaluation and metrics, learning strategy, and organizational effectiveness. She has successfully managed multimillion-dollar budgets and spearheaded innovative programs that significantly enhanced organizational processes and employee growth.
Dr. Sims is deeply committed to cultivating environments that support continuous learning, team success, and individual growth. She holds a master's and doctorate in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Central Florida, specializing in training evaluation, team dynamics, and psychological safety.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Dana is an avid sailor who took an adventurous sabbatical to sail from the Chesapeake Bay to the Bahamas, the Dry Tortugas, and up to Maine with her significant other and their dog.
