Session Details

This facilitated discussion is an opportunity to share ideas on COVID-19’s impact on local organizations and identify training and development needs and challenges in this very fluid environment.  We will specifically discuss the impact of the pandemic on organizational operations and services and how those changes impact learning and development.  In addition, we will identify new skills and challenges for learning and development professionals and briefly brainstorm ways to address the identified challenges.


About Our Guest Speaker

Stefanie Ashley, CPF, CVF, is the Interim Director at the Facilitation Center at Eastern Kentucky University, where she aids groups in creative problem-solving, funneling ideas into action, and conquering tough topics and challenges.  She also provides professional training in meeting management and facilitation, occupational analysis, strategic planning, and other related topics.  Stefanie has a Master’s Degree in Career and Technical Education, with an emphasis in Occupational Training and Development, is one of only 200 Certified Professional Facilitators in the United States and is a Certified Virtual Facilitator.

Before working at the Facilitation Center, Stefanie served in multiple positions at Host Communications in Lexington, Kentucky, which included working with several national and international associations, including the International SPA Association and the National Tourism Foundation.  She has presented at numerous conferences around the world, written for a variety of publications, and co-written and edited several textbooks.
